The Interlock

The Interlock, located in Atlanta’s West Midtown district, is a Live-Work-Play community hosting restaurants, retail, offices, condominiums, and a hotel.  The project’s design includes many natural elements, open and high ceilings, along with high contrast finishes for an industrial feel throughout.  Lux et Veritas worked with the interior designer to create a multi-faceted space with lighting that is aesthetically unique while meeting technical requirements that required close coordination with the design and engineering teams.  The wood clad walls and ceilings in the office lobby pair perfectly with the linear fixtures for modern and seamless ambient lighting.  Decorative fixtures hang in the open, tall ceilings bring the space down to human scale while also serving as a floating jewel juxtaposing the heavy finishes and volume of the interiors.  The Interlock, with its variety of spaces, incorporates a simplicity within the lighting design to successfully individualize each space while also weaving a thread of consistency throughout the entire project.
