Project Details

Situated in Atlanta’s posh Buckhead district, this luxury hotel pays homage to the history and hospitality for which this city is known. Dressed in early 19th century décor and bespoke contemporary elements, The Whitley’s interior design marries southern charm with modern elegance. During a stay at the hotel, guests are encouraged to relax in the spa or indulge in the Mediterranean inspired delicacies of the Trade Root Lounge.  To maintain the intimacy of the space, Lux et Veritas designed the lighting with a layered approach to bring focus to the lavish interior elements while maintaining the intimacy of the spaces. In the grand lobby, accent lighting illuminates the carefully curated art collection, including a Buck sculpture uplit from its base. Soft decorative lighting provides an ambience reminiscent of bygone southern parlors. Carefully coordinated millwork linear shelf lights create a focal wall in the lobby lounge. The opulent interiors paired with the lighting design flawlessly provides guests with a sense of comfort while visually escorting them on a journey through time at this Atlanta landmark hotel.
