Thompson Hotel

The 193-key Thompson Hotel is a luxury retreat situated on the banks of the Savannah River, where the wharf and historic downtown collide. The project, which is part of the larger 54-acre Eastern Wharf mixed-use development, is the tallest building in the city and features more than 8,000 sf of meeting space, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a premier rooftop bar with expansive views of the Savannah skyline. 

The interior design and modern décor is a refreshing contrast to the historical buildings that surround the property. Lux et Veritas worked closely with the interior designer and developer to create an environment where the ambient lighting visually blends and dissolves into the illuminated focal points of each space.  The lighting seamlessly guides guests through the hotel, drawing them in with dramatic features such as the staircase with its carefully concealed linear lighting at each riser highlighting the hand painted wallpaper. The illuminated bar die draws guests to enjoy a craft cocktail while admiring the beauty of the space which also includes a carefully choreographed uplit back bar along with stunning, custom, decorative chandeliers. This award winning hotel has become a beacon of modernity and style for the City nestled amongst its historic treasures.
